Our Practice Areas

We understand the importance of harnessing innovation, digital transformation and safeguarding intellectual property rights in transactional matters.OverviewIntellectual property rights have increasingly become a valuable asset in protecting the innovation and brand of businesses and individuals. With the rapid growth of technology and the internet, the digital world has become increasingly important area for Intellectual Property Law. It refers to the legal protection of inventions and creative work that also exist in a digital form.  Intellectual property rights in Greece refer to industrial property such as inventions, geographical indications of source, trademarks, designs used in commerce as well as literary and artistic work.

They are legally qualified from the Hellenic Industrial Property Organization (OBI) which also provides technological information from worldwide databases.Inventions are creations such as products, processes or industrial applications which involve an inventive step and are susceptible of industrial application. Our team can successfully navigate the process of protecting an invention via registration of Patent or other title of protection in domestic law (Greek Copyright Law, Greek Trademark Law, Greek Patent Law, Greek Industrial Design Law).

Additionally, there are several international treaties and national laws that provide a framework for the protection of IP rights in the digital environments.Under Greek law, trademarks serve multiple purposes as identifiers of origin of goods and services, guarantee and advertising objective of a brand both in the online and offline world.
